Eco-friendly

Environmental protection is one of DST Sardegna's core values. Every activity is carried out with care and responsibility, adopting concrete solutions to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable tourism.

Our actions for the environment

In order to actively contribute to the protection of the territory and the sea, DST Sardinia puts into practice a series of virtuous behaviours

Environmentally friendly engines

We use the latest generation Honda 250 cc engines, designed for high performance with low fuel consumption and emissions.

Compostable materials

We exclusively use compostable cups, eliminating the use of single-use plastic in our activities.

Digital tickets (e-tickets)

The entire booking process takes place online: tickets are digital and do not need to be printed, thus reducing paper waste.

Recycled paper

For strictly necessary prints we use recycled paper, helping to limit environmental impact.

Support for protected areas

We actively contribute to land protection through payments to the Tavolara Marine Protected Area and the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park.

Awareness-raising

During the activities, tourists are encouraged to adopt environmentally friendly behaviour, thus contributing to the conservation of marine ecosystems.

Our partners

The commitment to sustainability is reinforced by collaboration with qualified partners such as Worldrise and Friend of the Sea, organisations actively engaged in promoting responsible practices, particularly in the area of dolphin spotting.

Worldrise

DST Sardegna takes part of the project “Il golfo dei delfini” wich turns the dolphin watching activity in eco-friendly . We respect the behavior code which turns the activity sustainable based on International guidelines which fits the best with local reality. The operators are trained to give you the education about ecology and about dolphins during the sighting to promote education and sensibilization of the tourist regarding this beautiful creatures.

Friend of the Sea

DST Sardegna adheres to the Friend of the Sea Dolphin and Whale Watching project, the association that defines all the best practices and behaviors of the "Il Golfo dei Delfini" project by Worldrise & Friend of The Sea to carry out the sighting excursion in a sustainable.
